What is Glamping?

If you haven’t heard of glamping before, it’s a newer trend in recent years that provides the joys of camping with the luxuries of a hotel. Pretty amazing if you ask me!

Kimberly Creek defines it as “”glamorous camping“, where the serenity of nature meets modern luxury. Our guests say that it’s like staying in a luxury hotel room in the woods.”

Take a peek at some of the other incredible glamping destinations that we’ve visited before!

Glamping Lodging Options at Kimberly Creek Retreat

  • Cabins– Several different options that can fit anywhere from 4 to 8 people
  • Pods– Euro Style Glamping Pod
  • Domes– 20 or 24 foot Geodistic Dome

All of the glamping accommodations include heating, air conditioning, a kitchenette, bathroom (with a shower), propane grill and fire pit. No do you see why it’s called “glamorous camping?”

Food

I recommend bringing your own food while you’re staying at Kimberly Creek Retreat and using the provided grill. The propane grill is right outside your accommodation (each site has their own) and is equipped with all the cooking utensils you’d need.

However, if that doesn’t interest you, there’s several local restaurants like Round The Bend Steakhouse (their chicken dinner is amazing!), Parker’s Smokehouse, and Cellar 426.

Kimberly Creek Retreat also offers a s’mores package, breakfast items such as muffins, breakfast bars, and fruit along with a couple of dinner packages. All of these can be purchased separately.
