Toddler inflatable beds are a great option for families who travel frequently or have limited space at home. They are lightweight, easy to inflate, and can be stored in a small space when not in use. When it comes to finding the perfect inflatable bed for your toddler, there are many options to choose from. Three popular options are the Hiccapop Inflatable Mattress the JetKids CloudSleeper Inflatable Toddler Mattress and the SlumberTot mattress (discount code BRIGGS). All three of these beds offer unique features that make them a great choice for families on the go. In this post, we will compare these three beds and highlight their key features, pros and cons, and overall performance along with listing a few other runner-up options to consider.
When comparing different options, some things to consider include the size of the mattress, the thickness of the material, and the type of pump included (if any). Additionally, some inflatable mattresses may have additional features such as a machine-washable cover and raised sides for added comfort.
The Hiccapop Inflatable Mattress
The Hiccapop Inflatable Mattress is a versatile and portable option that can be used both at home and on the road. It is made with a durable, puncture-resistant material that is easy to clean and maintain. The mattress also comes with an electric pump that inflates and deflates the bed in just minutes. Additionally, it has a raised side barrier that provides added safety and security for your toddler. This bed is rated for toddlers 18 months and older.

Pros:
- You don’t need to buy an extra pump because it comes with this mattress.
- It’s one of the highest-rated mattresses in terms of reviews on Amazon.
- It’s quick and easy to inflate and deflate.
- I like the raised sides because it helps with little ones that like to roll around a lot.
- It’s very comfortable for my toddler.
- It’s the cheaper option when comparing these two beds.
- Works with the SlumberPod (You can use discount code BRIGGS for SlumberPod).
Cons:
- It’s bigger than the CloudSleeper and will take up more room in checked or carry-on baggage. See the photo below for reference. In addition to it being larger, it also is heavier.
- The pump takes up space (in the image below it’s inside the bag) but what I’ve done to cut down on space is purchase this mini pump and it works! So when we travel, I leave the original pump at home and instead bring the mini pump with me.
- You’ll have to bring a crib sheet with you to place overtop of the bed because the cover is not machine-washable like the CloudSleeper.

The JetKids CloudSleeper Inflatable Toddler Mattress
The JetKids CloudSleeper Inflatable Toddler Mattress (you can also sometimes find it on Amazon) is another great option for families on the go. The mattress is made with a soft and durable material that is easy to clean and maintain. It also features a built-in electric pump that inflates and deflates the bed in just minutes. This bed is recommended for toddlers 36 months and up.

Pros:
- It is smaller than the Hiccapop Toddler Mattress so it took up less space is our checked bags (you can also place it in your carry-on if you’d like).
- It is lighter than the Hiccapop Mattress.
- There is no need to travel with a separate pump because the pump comes built into the mattress itself. On one end, you’ll either use your hands or foot to push down and release and it will inflate it.
- There are slightly raised side barriers to the bed that will help prevent kids from rolling (not as high as the Hiccapop sides are).
- Becomes very compact thanks to the packing cube with a smart double zipper design.
- Comes with a breathable air mesh cover fitted sheet (which can help regulate your child’s body temperature for optimum comfort). I love that the cover is also machine washable so there is no need to bring an extra sheet!
- Works with the SlumberPod (You can use discount code BRIGGS for SlumberPod).
- Because it comes with a built-in pump, you don’t have to worry about the pump being incompatible with outlets when traveling outside of North America.
Cons:
- It is the more expensive option.
- It does take a little longer to inflate than the Hiccapop Mattress and does require more effort on your part and it’s manual (as in you have to use your hands or foot to push down and release on it until it’s inflated.)

If you’re looking for a plane bed in addition to a toddler inflatable mattress, you can purchase a bundle pack from JetKids. I wrote a post about six different styles of airplane beds if you want to learn more!
The SlumberTot by SlumberPod
The newest inflatable toddler bed on the market is the SlumberTot by SlumberPod (Discount code-BRIGGS). “SlumberTot is the only inflatable toddler travel bed perfectly sized to fit inside SlumberPod. SlumberTot pairs a soft-touch, sleep surface with integrated side rails for air-filled comfort and peace of mind wherever you may roam.”
Pros:
- Only 6 lbs
- Comes with the pump and a carry bag. I like the carry bag because you don’t have to perfectly fold the mattress in order to get it to fit inside.
- It is sized perfectly to fit inside the SlumberPod. While the other two beds do fit inside, they do press up against the sides of the SlumberPod. The SlumberTot does not do that.
- Three built-in bumpers along the sides and one at the top of the bed.
- The quality is great and it doesn’t feel (or smell) like cheap material.
Cons:
- Pump is not compatible outside of North America
- The length is a little shorter than the other inflatable toddler beds

A few other options for inflatable toddler mattresses include: (I have not tested these ones)
- Enerplex Toddler Mattress
- Intex Cozy Kids Mattress
- ELTOW Inflatable Toddler Mattress
- Hugbino Travel Mattress
If you’ve got a little one that has outgrown the travel pack-n-play but you don’t want to pack a toddler inflatable mattress, you can consider using inflatable bed rails that you can place along the edges of the hotel bed. This still will take up some room in the suitcase but it is a little smaller than the full bed.
