Located in Carlsbad, this cozy spot allows parents to relax with a cup of coffee while kids enjoy a safe and engaging play area. The Lullabar offers various activities and classes such as baby yoga, music time, and arts and crafts sessions, making it an ideal spot for a family outing. They also offer an incredible spa where I was able to enjoy a fantastic pedicure while Briggs played in the playroom. 10/10 recommend!

A majority of the museum I feel like is catered to older kids and adults but they do have that amazing playroom that young ones (including mine) will really enjoy!

No trip to Carlsbad is complete without a visit to LEGOLAND California. This iconic amusement park is a paradise for little ones, with its LEGO-themed rides, shows, and attractions. From the DUPLO Playtown for toddlers to the adventurous roller coasters for older kids, LEGOLAND offers endless fun for the whole family. Be sure to explore Miniland USA, where famous landmarks are recreated with millions of LEGO bricks. We consider ourselves a Legoland family because of how much we enjoy visiting! Honestly, one of our favorite things we have done with our little kids during our travels.

4. Nature Walks with Local Mom Groups

Carlsbad is home to an awesome mom group, on IG you can find them at @carlsbadmomcrew, and is a great way to connect with local moms (and get the best recommendations of things to do!) They organize mom walks and outdoor activities, providing an excellent opportunity for both moms and kids to socialize and enjoy the beauty of the area.

5. Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center: Explore Nature Up Close

The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center offers an educational and fun experience for children. This interactive center features exhibits on local wildlife, plants, and the history of the lagoon. Kids can engage in hands-on activities, such as touching marine animals in the touch tank and participating in educational programs about the environment. My kids absolutely loved their bunny, Cupcake, along with the other animals like their new pig. We learned lots of new information and can’t say enough good things about this center!

6. Swan and Paddle Boat Rentals at California Watersports

For a fun and unique adventure, head to California Watersports at the Carlsbad Lagoon. Here, you can rent swan boats or paddle boats and enjoy a leisurely ride on the calm waters of the lagoon. This activity is perfect for families with young children, as the boats are safe and easy to maneuver and they have life jackets available. Briggs and I took out a swan boat for a quick ride and had an excellent time!

If it’s in your budget, definitely book a suite as it was so spacious and comfortable for my family! Plus, it’s so nice having two rooms when it comes to kids going to sleep before parents do. Additionally, the two restaurants on-site were so delicious!
